Bright tech future for education technologies

The Education inside Metaverse virtual conference, which will take place on 22 November, will bring together visionaries, leaders of technology companies, Lithuanian education policy makers, representatives of the education institutions, educators and visioneers and startupers. During the conference, they will share insights on a brighter and more technologically advanced future for education in Metaverse.

The world’s biggest projects in the Metaverse will be presented, as well as examples of applications in education.

Discussions will take place on the benefits of the digital transformation of education and the maturity of society as well as the education system to embrace innovation.

The last part of the conference will be dedicated to the Lithuanian Edtech (educational technology) startup ecosystem, its prospects and future opportunities.

She is an econometrician, a financier, and a fund management expert by education.

She graduated from the Warsaw School of Economics with a bachelor's degree in Quantitative Methods in Economics and Information Systems, obtained a master's degree in Finance and Accounting at the Warsaw School of Economics, and a master's degree in Finance at the University of New South Wales in Australia. She gained her professional experience in consulting companies such as Capital One Advisors, Ipopema Securities, Enterprise Investors and EY, where she carried out many projects related to analytics in investment banking. Since 2020, she has been a Member of the Expert Team of the Polish Economic Institute.

In October 2016, she joined the team of advisors to the Minister of Development and was responsible for managing innovative digital projects. She also served as an advisor to the Prime Minister on innovation and finance. In April 2018, she was appointed the Director of the pioneering GovTech Poland Programme, aiming to implement innovation and new technologies in the public sector. In March 2020, she was appointed the Plenipotentiary of the Prime Minister for GovTech.

In December 2020, she was entrusted with the management of the GovTech Centre in the Chancellery of the Prime Minister. Its primary goal is to coordinate the entire process of creating digital tools by the public administration, focusing, however, not only on the technological aspect alone but also on creating digital reality and its popularization among citizens.

She was honoured, among others, for her extraordinary contribution to the development of the Polish Digital Transformation in 2019 of "Rzeczpospolita". She was included in the TOP 20 Women in Cybersecurity 2019 and twice in GovInsider magazine's Women in GovTech list. She won the DigitalShapers Award in the Innovation and Technology category in 2019. She also received the "Digital Eagle" Award of the Digital Poland Association and the "Eagle of Innovation" Award of "Rzeczpospolita" and was included in the Forbes 2020 "30 Before 30" Ranking.

I am an experienced digital transformation strategist and change influencer with over 20 years of experience. Currently I am honored to lead the education team in 25 countries in Central and Eastern Europe for Microsoft. Previously I created and served as the President of the Management Board of the International Cybercrime Investigation Training Academy since it’s establishment in 2009 and assisted the Bulgarian Government in drafting national security strategies, action plans and harmonizing legislation with the European standards around cyber security and cybercrime. I leaded all top cyber security experts and jointly delivered trainings to governmental agencies and businesses. I designed and implemented training initiatives and prevention campaigns and as a result trained more than 3000 experts worldwide. I am also a lecturer in Information Security and Internet Law in the eBusiness Masters Program at the University of Science and Technologies in Lille, France as well as in Cambodia and Senegal and served as lecturer in Digital Marketing and Social Media Program at EDHEC Business School, Lille, France for 3 years. I participated in Government missions and provided services and advice in cyber security and cybercrime. Participated in numerous EU projects from design and drafting to execution and auditing. I served also as a Council of Europe expert providing advice on the adoption and implementation of the Cybercrime Convention and am one of the first experts to present the Convention on the African continent. I am an outstanding public speaker and participated in conferences and events organized by the European Commission, Europol, Council of Europe, Anti-Phishing Working Group, Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe, European Training Academy, United Nations and many others.

Danielius Stasiulis is one of the founders of EdTech Lithuania and a co-founder & CEO of BitDegree, one of the leading EdTechs in Lithuania. BitDegree (est. 2017) was recently crowned as the Global Champion of the UN-backed World Summit Awards in the field of education for leveraging technology to bring digital skills to the masses. Today, the platform provides digital skills focused short courses and learning paths to 850k+ reskillers and upskillers globally and is recognized for its pioneering research into gamification and learning motivation. Previously, Danielius spent 10 years in management consulting at Civitta, Emerging Europe’s leading consultancy covering 15 countries with 350+ consultants, where he served as a partner and board member developing the Startups and Innovation stream. For his work in building the European startup ecosystems and personal entrepreneurial example, Danielius was awarded the prestigious Junior Achievement Europe FERD’s List honouree title 2019 and was named as one of the 5 exemplary Junior Achievement Lithuania alumni from over the last 25 years in 2018. In 2020, Danielius was recognised by Global Lithuanian Leaders with other BitDegree co-founders as the Lithuanian leaders whose ideas lead globally. Danielius earned a BSc in Economics and Business from the Stockholm School of Economics in Riga and was a visiting scholar to UC Berkeley at Skydeck accelerator. In his free time, He is an ultra trail runner and a proud husband and father.
